History
When we had to create many websites for different purposes using similar technology we hate the same job being repeated in each project and understood the pattern of code creation and thought to automate as much as possible. Instead of creating a bulky libraries / frameworks we thought to create something which generates the code for the users so that the developers will have the freedom to choose only the relevant code added to the application and the same time allow full customization on the generated code.
So with the simple goal of automated website creation we have launched thePHPCode.com in 2011, and since then it has created more than 5,000 websites. We have choose the CodeIgniter 3 framework as the base which is the light weight framework with small memory foot prints and one of easiest framework to learn. We are currently upgrading the website generator to generate code in CodeIgniter 4 and also enhancing it users to only generate the REST APIs instead of creating the complete website for users who want to use their own choice of front end.
